In the spirit of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and our women's gymnastics team, here is a caricature I did of Shawn Johnson - winner of 1 gold and 3 silver medals.
This is a great explanation graphic from the folks at XPLANE
Barack Obama is the first major candidate to decline participation in the public financing system for presidential campaigns. He’s found a more effective way to raise money — by leveraging the power of the American people through online Social Networks.
I've been trying to learn to draw digitally on a WacomIntous tablet and the process has not been smooth. It's difficult getting used to drawing on the tablet while you look at the screen to see what is happening; there is a disconnect between your hand and eyes. Wacom has solved this with the Cintiq. I test drove one at Vizthink; it was awesome, very intuitive and easy to use. Combine the Cintiq with some drawing software like Autodesk's Alias Sketchbook Pro and your off and running! The Cintiq will help streamline and improve your workflow. I can't wait to get one.
This is a new tool I'm trying out. Evernote catalogs, tags and makes the text in an image searchable. You can capture notes via photos, videos, web clippings, handwritten notes, etc. Use it on your computer, web or mobile phone. For anyone that facilitates meetings (whiteboards, sticky notes, flip charts), creates napkin sketches or doodles, this will be a handy tool!
This movie explores the creative process of one of the most controversial architects of our time - Frank Gehry.
His buildings are both famous and infamous. His architectural sketches remind me of the simple, flowing lines of a fashion designer. It always amazes me to see how a design moves from sketch to final product. This documentary provides a behind the scenes view into his creative process; it's fascinating!
Here are some of his designs on google images. Buy it on Amazon
